This March / April, our theme is

“Follow Your Heart”. This month’s theme feels especially close to home because it is filled with island breezes, warm sunlight, and the gentle rhythm of the sea.

The inspiration came from my New Year’s Eve trip earlier this year. We welcomed the new year in Da Nang, Vietnam, surrounded by ocean views, sandy shores, and that quiet sense of calm that only a seaside place seems to bring.

I imagined Kakpoot quietly sneaking into my backpack and joining the journey. And of course, he wouldn’t travel alone. Tod Tod, the tortoise he met one spring and has never quite parted from since, would certainly be there too. Tod Tod is Kakpoot’s most loyal travel companion. The two curious and mischievous in the gentlest way, discovering small corners of the world, and turning every journey into a tiny adventure. Looking out toward the horizon with the warm breeze brushing against their faces, it feels like the beginning of something new.

Sometimes in life, we take on too many things. We listen to too many voices, too many expectations, until the noise becomes so loud that we lose sight of why we started in the first place. The mind becomes crowded, the heart a little quieter. Perhaps sometimes all we can do is to pause. To step somewhere quiet, perhaps like the sea. To let the waves soften the noise. To breathe, and gently ask ourselves a simple question: What does my heart truly wants?

“Follow Your Heart” became the theme not only because of the journey, but because it felt like the message I needed to carry into this year. A quiet reminder that sometimes the right path isn’t the loudest one, but the one that feels most true. Beginning this new journey, slowly, curiously, and with my heart leading the way.
