July 2025

This past July was a historical and meaningful event in Penang for all stamp rally hunters and journalers. On 19th July - 10th August 2025 Penang, Elsiewithlove proudly hosted their very 1st state level stamp rally. I found myself swept up in an utter excitement. It was indeed a delightful collaboration between George Town Festival and Elsiewithlove.

Guided by the ever-cheerful Kakpoot, Elsiewithlove's iconic character ,festival-goers were invited to wander around Penang (both island and mainland) in search of six exclusive stamps. Each one, lovingly designed, was more than just ink on paper - it was a small story, a memory captured, a keepsake of art and place.

The trail itself was a journey through Penang’s cultural heart:

  • Macam Macam Berapit at the lively Berapit Public Market

  • After Dusk, an evening spectacle at Padang Kota Lama (Esplanade)

  • Bedtime Stories beneath the stars at Taman Kejiranan Desa Mawar, Ayer Itam

  • The historic Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi

  • IMMERSIO at the atmospheric Bangunan UAB

  • And a special surprise stamp from the GTF crew themselves

The complete collection of stamp isn't the only price stamp rally gathered. Thanks to George Town Festival and Park Royal Resort Penang , 2 lucky draw prizes were given out. A chance to win a two-day, one-night stay at the beautiful PARKROYAL Penang Resort. We were so grateful to our sponsors. Thank you for making the experience even more meaningful.

What I loved most, though, was not simply the promise of a prize, but the way the Stamp Rally stitched together art, history, and community into one playful adventure. It was as though the city itself became a treasure map, each stamp a milestone in a journey of discovery. Adventure, art, and stories tucked into every corner. This was George Town Festival at its most magical and our team Elsiewithlove and family honored to be part of it.

Once again, my utmost thanks to those who have participated in the event despite the rainy weathers and sometimes unforgiving hot sun. Together we grow this creative community!

~Elsiewithlove
